What cookies are
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit. GolfWiki only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work — no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.
Cookies used on GolfWiki
- authjs.session-token — keeps you signed in if you use an account (Google or email link). Automatically expires after 24h of inactivity.
- authjs.csrf-token — protects the site's forms against request-forgery attacks.
- authjs.callback-url — remembers which page to send you back to right after signing in.
- NEXT_LOCALE — remembers whether you prefer the site in French or English.
No consent banner
Because none of these cookies are used for advertising or analytics, data protection regulation (GDPR/ePrivacy) doesn't require us to ask for your consent before setting them: they're strictly necessary for the site to function (keeping you signed in, securing forms). If an analytics tool were ever added, a consent banner would be put in place before it's activated.
How to refuse them
You can block or delete these cookies from your browser settings, but this will prevent account sign-in from working. You'll still be able to use your trips via their link, without signing in.
